Posted 3-1-2010The Peoria Historical Society recently received an award of excellence from the State of Illinois for "Abraham Lincoln in Peoria," an account of Lincoln's many visits to Peoria. With writing and design by Converse, the publication chronicles his visits and calls attention to his 1854 speech, when he drew the line on slavery.
